Skoda Yeti Extreme Concept Comes to Worthersee

Compact off-roader flexes its muscles.

Worthersee 2014 is in full swing and at the VW Group showcase, Skoda has whisked the wraps of the Yeti Xtreme concept. Boasting an aggressive matte gray exterior, modified bumpers, extended fender flares and beefy side skirts, Skoda has created a "crisp and robust interpretation of the popular compact SUV.” Other exterior touches include yellow and green accents, 17-inch alloys wrapped in off-road rubber and a dual exhaust system.

A rally-inspired interior features Recaro sports seats with four-point harnesses, a flat-bottomed sports steering wheel, Alcantara upholstery, aluminum doors, carbon-fiber door panels, a rear-mounted spare tire, custom center console, seatbelt cutter and iPad dock. Power comes from a 1.8-liter TSI four-pot rated at 150 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the tarmac via a six-speed DSG and all-wheel-drive system. 0-62 mph is clocked in 9.0 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 120 mph.
