This is what Jaguar is planning to take on the Porsche Macan.
Although we're only a few days away from the opening of the Frankfurt Motor Show, Jaguar's long-rumored C-X17 Concept crossover has already been leaked online. It looks exactly how we pictured a Jaguar crossover would look. That's not to say it doesn't look good, but judging by these initial two images, the C-X17 doesn't really bring anything fresh to the styling mix in the way the Range Rover Evoque did upon its reveal. We'll just have to wait for more official photos.
Set to be built on Jaguar's new Premium Lightweight Architecture (PLA) platform that will also underpin the automaker's upcoming BMW 3 Series fighter, the C-X17 has those familiar Jaguar trademark headlights and grille along with those large air intakes up front. Word also has it that there will be a tailgate-mounted spoiler and F-Type-inspired taillights. Jaguar has made it clear in the past that a small crossover will provide a significant sales boost, and judging by these images, this concept looks nearly 95 percent production ready. We'll be receiving complete details in the coming days.
