The Gallery Aaldering is about to auction what might be the single greatest barn find we've ever seen. It was curated by a Mr. Palmen, who gathered over 230 vehicles in three undisclosed locations in the Netherlands. These include two normal buildings and a church. In the past, we've covered barn finds with over 170 cars, but Mr. Palmen's collection takes the cake.

"This barn find collection is truly a unique opportunity for car enthusiasts and collectors around the world to expand their collection," said Nico and Nick Aaldering, of Gallery Aaldering. "We are very pleased to be able to auction these cars through Classic Car Auctions and look forward to seeing how much interest there is in this wonderful collection."

A video (included above) shows some highlights of the collection, which includes vehicles from well-known brands such as Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Ford, Lancia, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce, and more. There are also cars from now-defunct, obscure brands like Alvis, Facel Vega, Matra, Monica, Moretti, Imperia, and Villard.

The auction house says the storage facilities where the cars have been kept for the past four decades were all dry but dusty. This means rust shouldn't be an issue. Most of the cars are unrestored and original and have been started regularly by Mr. Palmen to keep the engines from seizing. Few people were ever allowed to see the collection, making this a well-kept secret.

Mr. Palmen can no longer keep the cars for a variety of reasons, so they have all been transferred to a single location in Dordrecht before they go up for auction. The online auction opens on Friday, May 19 and closes in three parts from June 5 to June 7, 2023. Interested buyers can attend one of the three viewing days on May 27, 28, and 29.

One of our favorite cars shown in the video is a Maserati Merak, a precursor to the modern 2023 Maserati MC20, which also features a mid-mounted V6 engine. We expect this auction to bring in a lot of money.
