Someone Paid $106,000 For A Porsche They'll Never Be Able To Drive

Le Mans 24 Hours

Is this price right for a piece of Porsche history?

Porsche recently dominated Le Mans with a pair of 919 hybrids. Now a dedicated Porsche fan and philanthropist owns one of those historic cars, albeit in replica form. A total of 13 replicas were made and the only one known to be privately owned was just auctioned off on eBay for charity. The 919 sold for $106,000 without a drivetrain. While that sucks (but makes total sense) the replica was signed by all six Porsche drivers who competed in Le Mans and its lights work! Is this a price you’d pay for Porsche history?
