Someone Paid 911 Turbo Money For This 2019 Corvette ZR1

For Sale / 5 Comments

It only has 834 miles on the clock.

Before the Corvette C8 Stingray arrived, the C7-generation sports car retired with the radical ZR1 range-topper. Chevrolet is expected to revive the ZR1 nameplate for the C8 generation, but not before the new Z06 debuts next week.

Rumors suggest the new C8 ZR1 will utilize a performance hybrid system with an output of around 900 horsepower, putting the Corvette in hypercar territory. But clearly there are plenty of Vette fans that can't wait for the new version to arrive and want to own a ZR1 now, as a C7 ZR1 just sold for silly money on Bring a Trailer.

This particular Corvette ZR1 is a 2019 convertible finished in Sebring Orange with a Jet Black Interior. No expense has been spared because it's based on the higher 3RZ trim and equipped with the ZTK Track Performance Package, which includes an adjustable high-wing spoiler providing increased downforce and track-tuned suspension. It also rides on carbon wheels measuring 19 inches in diameter at the front and 20 inches at the rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Providing the stopping power are cross-drilled carbon-ceramic discs with orange Brembo brake calipers. Power is provided by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 rated at 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and an electronic limited-slip differential.

This makes the ZR1 the most powerful Corvette has ever built, and that probably won't change until the next-generation version arrives. Inside, the ZR1 for sale includes heated and ventilated sport seats trimmed in black Nappa leather with suede microfiber inserts and orange contrast stitching.

Criminally, this Corvette ZR1 has only been driven 834 miles since it rolled out the factory in 2019. When it was new, the ZR1 convertible commanded a starting price of $123,995. This particular model sold for $179,500 which is more than a brand new Porsche 911 Turbo.
