It's been a painfully long wait for the Ford Bronco. After being delayed until the summer, Ford said that some Bronco customers may need to wait until 2022, although these customers will at least be partially compensated with FordPass Rewards loyalty points.

This all puts some early reservation holders for the 2021 Ford Bronco in a pretty powerful position, and one of those customers intends to milk the situation for all its worth. On Craigslist, an early reservation holder has posted his ordered Bronco for $65,000, which works out to a profit of close to $10,000.

The seller's listing states that "all 2021 Broncos are being custom-built only for those that reserved in July 2020". This Badlands Bronco is one such example, with the seller expecting it to arrive in June or July this year.

Some dealers are already forecasting a mid-2022 delivery date for Broncos ordered now, so that's a difference of 12 months. The four-door Bronco in question here is decently optioned with the Sasquatch and High package upgrades. The High package includes the large 12-inch LCD touchscreen, a 360-degree camera system, added sound deadening, and a forward sensing system.

The popular Sasquatch package, meanwhile, introduces 35-inch mud-terrain tires, a high-clearance suspension, high-clearance fender flares, and more. This particular Bronco will also come with the more potent 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine with 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Inside, it will feature Marine Grade vinyl seats which should prove to be durable.

We specced exactly the same model on Ford's website and arrived at a cost of $56,200 including the destination charge. The reservation holder will make a decent profit if someone agrees to the $65k selling price, but he does note that if an agreement is reached before March 1, the new buyer may have the opportunity to alter some of the options. Also worth noting is that the potential buyer will need to pay cash to the dealer at the time of delivery.

$8,800 is a lot to pay for earlier delivery, especially considering that you could upgrade to the Wildtrak with several options for much less. Then again, for those who simply can't wait, this may be the perfect opportunity to get a well-specced Bronco before most others do.
