Apparently, the Chevrolet Camaro SS is one heck of a modern muscle car that takes well to tuning. If the 455-hp muscle car isn't enough for you, the team at Hennessey Performance offers a range of performance upgrades with the most powerful naturally aspirated model putting out 650 hp. But the tuning company also offers muscle cars with superchargers that boost performance to an incredible 1,000 hp. Oh yes, it's a good time to own a Camaro SS.

Hennessey doesn't have a video of its range-topping HPE1000 model on the dyno, but put its HPE600 Camaro on one and it sounds awesome.

While the base 6.2-liter V8 puts out 455 hp, Hennessey can increase output to 500, 600, or 650 hp by keeping the naturally aspirated engine intact. For enthusiasts seeking a little more performance, the tuning company can boost performance to 700, 750, 800, or 1,000 hp by placing a supercharger on top of the engine. In addition to adding a supercharger and intercooler to the HPE1000 model, Hennessey also strokes the motor to 6.8 liters, adds forged pistons, ported cylinder heads, billet steel connecting roads, new engine management, an upgraded valve train and more. The HPE1000 Camaro can now be ordered for an additional $65,000 on top of the price for the vehicle.
