Would you buy an EcoBoost Mustang?
Mustang fans aren't too wild about the idea of a turbocharged four-cylinder engine being made available in their beloved pony car. In fact, it may be one of the most controversial aspects of the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang. Fortunately, the 5.0-liter V8 is still available alongside the also familiar 3.7-liter V6. However, Ford will charge more for the new EcoBoost four pot. Controversial? Perhaps, but then again the EcoBoost does have a bit more power and will return better fuel economy.
So what about the sound? Is this engine worthy of being under the hood of the Mustang? Check the video, and make up your own mind.
Better yet, how does it compare to the 5.0-liter V8? Here's a pair of ride along videos showcasing both of these engines. You be the judge. We'll have to admit though, the EcoBoost doesn't sound all that bad. Compare it to the V8 shown here.
