SP Engineering Upgrades Ferrari GTB to GTO Standards; Called GTX

Supercar

A range of upgrades by SP Engineering are on offer for the Ferrari GTB.

Since the GTO debuted over a year ago, you could argue that the Ferrari 599 GTB may have lost some of its novelty factor. However, SP Engineering has given owners a tonic virtue of their latest package that upgrades their Ferrari to the performance and aesthetics of a GTO. The GTX package is made up of three components: performance, exterior and suspension. The performance, at a cost of $12,999, benefits from a full titanium exhaust with remote vale control system, bypassing 2 of the 4 catalytic converters.

Power and throttle response has been maximized thanks to an ECU remapping job on the 6.0-liter V12, and the result: an increased output of a whopping 685hp, eclipsing the GTO's 670hp. Custom suspension and sway bars form the suspension element of the package and is priced at $4,999, with an optional front lift kit raising the Ferrari by up to a couple of inches that will set you back $12,800. Finally the exterior, full carbon fiber kit comprises of new front split-term side skirts and a rear trunk spoiler, retailing for $7,200. The total package comes to $38,000 and is available now.
