Just 40 examples will be produced, and they're for Essenza SCV12 owners only.
Lamborghini has unveiled a new special edition version of the Urus Performante inspired by and reserved exclusively for the Essenza SCV12 and its owners. Like the track-only supercar, Lamborghini will produce just 40 units of the Urus Performante "Essenza SCV12" Limited Edition, each tailored by Lambo's Ad Personam department in close consultation with Essenza SCV12 owners.
The special edition dons a motorsport-style theme, with racing-inspired detailing found all around the vehicle. Naturally, carbon fiber is in abundance, like the exposed accents (available in a gloss or matte finish) on the hood, bumpers, and wing mirror caps.
These unique Urus models wear a two-tone paint finish, with the lower parts of the vehicle finished in black. Each special edition model will have its paintwork applied at Lamborghini's in-house paint shop. The automaker notes that Centro Stile designers created several unique liveries, all matching the spec of their Essenza SCV12.
The livery includes a contrasting color line that flows over the roof arch. Additionally, the number of each vehicle has been painted on the front doors of the performance SUV. Lamborghini's design boss, Mitja Borkert describes the new special edition's unique styling elements as "a stormy, unique and colorful limited series of Urus."
As standard, Lamborghini will fit 23-inch black gloss wheels (with black-painted black calipers), although the 40 lucky customers can choose from other designs and colors.
Inside, the Sant'Agata Bolognese-based brand has gone for a Nero Cosmus (black) interior trimmed in sporty Alcantara, with splashes of leather throughout the cabin. Carbon fiber inlays are standard and can be specified in a matte or glossy finish.
The aluminum interior accents have been finished in anodized black and work well with the standard Dark Package. The only brightly colored trim elements on display are the red door handles.
To further set the Urus Performante Essenza SCV12 Special Edition apart, the passenger compartment contains celebratory plaques, one of which commemorates the 60th anniversary of Lamborghini. The other can be customized to display the vehicle number or the owner's name.
The Urus Performante was revealed last year as a more exciting variant with 657 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, along with revisions to the suspension like steel springs instead of air and a new Rally mode for driving on dirt at speed. The big Lambo is seriously quick; 0 to 62 mph is dealt with in 3.3 seconds and it'll top out at 190 mph, making it one of the fastest SUVs in the world.
While impressive, it's nowhere near as quick as the Essenza SCV12. With an Aventador-derived naturally-aspirated V12, the track special offers as much as 819 hp.
