Going for a speed date in a hot hatch looks about as appealing as an actual speed date.
Women, being the gentle creatures they are, go speed-dating to look for their soul-mates and one true love. For men, it’s about getting as many women’s numbers as possible, cutting straight to the chase without having to spend hours flirting and emptying their wallet at a restaurant or bar. While that’s easily done while face-to-face over a table, as Renault demonstrates in its “ultimate speed date” video, it becomes far less trivial when speeding around a frozen track in a Clio RS.
Created by the French carmaker’s Belgium arm to showcase the new hot-hatch's capabilities, the video turns the idea of speed dating on its head with the woman in the driver’s seat - literally and figuratively.
