New photos have emerged this week of the 2012 Bentley Continental GTC Speed model. It has been upgraded from the standard model with some new exhaust tips and a set of updated brakes. The new bumper design indicates there will be larger intakes. The exterior of the Speed model should be roughly the same as the standard, however under the hood is where the Speed model really gets its name.

The Speed GTC sports the same 6.0-liter W-12 engine which powers the entire Continental GT lineup, however the drivetrain will be refined and output should be above the regular 600hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. The Speed model will also share the same ZF six-speed unit but with an additional Quickshift function that allows double downshifts (comparable to the 2011 Bentley Continental GT). The Speed GTC should have a top speed of over 195mph and make 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds. The performance increase is substantial to the standard model.

Bentley engineers are expected to reduce the overall weight of the Speed GTC and increase its rigidity. No official pricing has been released. Photos courtesy of Teamspeed.
