New spy shots of the upcoming BMW M6 reveal the design of the car's front spoiler.
We've just received some fresh pictures from our spy photographers showing a 2012 BMW M6 prototype out testing. This time, we can that this test mule has dropped some more camouflage, revealing the design of the front spoiler. The upcoming M6 will be powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 with around 552hp and 502lb-ft of torque. Power will be sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed M Double Clutch transmission. A six-speed manual may also be offered for the U.S. market.
Compared to the standard 6-Series, the M6 will be characterized by a unique front bumper with larger air dams, deeper side skirts, and a restyled rear bumper with quad exhaust tips. There will also be larger alloy wheels covering the massive brake discs. The interior will feature all of the typical luxury traits that we've come to expect in every high-performance M car. No official launch date has been given, but the 2012 M6 will likely be fully unveiled in the coming months. Photos: CarPix.
