The BMW X6 is getting a facelift for 2012 and these spy photos show off the crossover's new looks. Spotted in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the German automaker is finishing up testing for the car that will debut later this year with the 50i model. This 35i (known in-house) is the latest 6-Series vehicle and features a new front fascia. The overhaul includes the headlights, LED daytime running lights on the front and on the new rear-end.

New vents and a grille on the front trademark the 6-Series along with a pair of two new air intakes for improved aerodynamics. The 2012 BMW X6 will arrive in Europe as the BMW X6 xDrive50d that could very well feature the tri-turbocharged diesel engine. The new engine will most likely be an inline-6-cyldiner with the aforementioned three turbochargers with an output of a great-for-a-diesel 400hp. Photos courtesy of PalBay.
