Having been presented as a fully functional concept study at the Frankfurt Auto Show 2009, we first caught sight of the Roding last year when it was being tested on the Nurburgring. Built with a carbon-fiber chassis and powered by a turbocharged six-cylinder engine producing 300hp and 300lb-ft of peak torque, the swift and nimble German-made sports car has gone through somewhat of a rebuild, not so surprising given its peculair design left many critics baying for blood.

There have been some obvious developments made since the test phase was completed and the design has clearly been fundamentally reworked. Spied in Nurburgring again, where its suspension is being seriously tested, expect to see the special-edition Roding Roadster 23 presented to the public by spring of next year. Photos: CarPix.
