Spied: 2012 Toyota Yaris Three-Door

Spy Shots

It's been known for a while that Toyota is expected to come out with a new and improved Yaris model to replace its ageing Yaris compact car. This vehicle is slated to enter the market towards the end of 2011 and has also been spied for the first time in prototype form. The spy photos taken show a new Toyota Yaris hatchback model in the three-door variant, although the vehicle will also come in a five-door trim as well.

The new Yaris sedan is also expected to join the lineup as well as a new hybrid variant which was shown off in the form of the Yaris HSD concept car at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Toyota will be using the Yaris as a direct competitor against the Honda Fit Hybrid. The photos of the spied prototype show a sportier design and also appears to be bigger than the current car. We can expect the 2012 Toyota Yaris to have its world debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
