Audi's powerful station wagon, the RS4 Avant, was caught taking advantage of a break in Germany's wintry weather to perform some testing on the Green Hell. Many automakers use the Nurburgring for testing and the development of their new models. The Audi RS4 Avant was running the treacherous course when our spy photographers snapped some of these photos. The test model shows off the new RS4 Avant's aggressive styling, with a sportier front and wider fenders.

The RS4 prototype was making use of the RS5's more powerful engine, giving the hatch some solid performance and power. We expect the Audi RS4 Avant to arrive later this year, badged as a 2013 model.
