Porsche has already begun testing their new 911 991-Series GT3 on the snowy roads of Europe. The prototype seen here sans wing is wearing the typical GT3 front bumper and centered twin exhaust pipes. The GT3's flat-six engine is expected to be tweaked for 450hp. Porsche is currently testing manual and dual-clutch configurations for power transfer, however only one will make its way into production. So far, the PDK transmission is the favored setup to appear in the new 911 GT3.

The 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 should be the best one yet, as we have already seen the 2012 911 Carrera S run the Nurburgring in 13 seconds faster than the previous-generation Carrera S and hit the same time as the 997-generation 911 GT3. These signs can only bode well for Porsche's latest track-spec model.
