The next generation VW Golf has been spotted testing.
The CarBuzz photographers have just caught the 7th generation Volkswagen Golf testing. It looks relatively similar to the previous installment of the German hatchback, however it does appear to have a lower, wider and sportier profile. Rumors of Golf production moving to the U.S. may be just that, as the hatch remains VW's standard in almost every country but the U.S. It will run on either a 2.0 TDI diesel motor or a 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder.
It will be cleaner and more efficient than previous versions in order to keep up with the changing legislation demanding more eco-friendly automobiles. The 7th generation Volkswagen Golf is expected to debut late next year as a 2013 model.
