Our spy photographers have just caught the first pictures of the BMW 3-Series Coupe testing. Though it was fully-camouflaged with the exception of the windows, we can still make out some of the designs that will be shared between the sedan and coupe variants. The test mule seen here features the same front-end of the M3 (known in-house as the F30) mule recently spotted at the Nurburgring. The rear-end is heavily covered, meaning there isn't too much we can decipher from these shots.

As no official information has been released, guesswork and rumors have indicated that the coupe could come equipped without the current V8 engine. A brand new turbocharged 4-cylinder powerplant could arrive in this model or even a tri-turbocharged 3.2-liter 6-cylinder engine might appear. The new BMW 3-Series Coupe might also be badged as the 4-Series, however nothing has been set in stone by the German automaker. For now, we know that it should debut before the end of 2012. Until then, take a look at the spy shots and let us know what you think about the latest 3-Series variant that has been spotted testing.
