The Porsche Panamera has been on the market since 2009 and now the German automaker has apparently decided it's time for a mild facelift. Our spy photographers just snapped up some of the first photos showing a Panamera with the entire front camouflaged. From what we can tell, there are new headlights, bumpers and rear lights. However, the taillight design on this test mule is still wearing the old design. Expect some more prototypes with all of the changes to show up shortly as well.

We don't know if there will be any upgrades to the engine lineup, but the styling update makes complete sense considering the all-new 911 just debuted with what is arguably the best styling we've seen in a Porsche yet. Power currently comes from a standard 3.6-liter V6 with 300hp and is mated to a 7-speed automated manual. An optional 4.8-liter V8 with 400hp is available on the Panamera S, which is further upgraded to 500hp on the Turbo and 550hp on the Turbo S. It's likely the updated Panamera will go on sale as a 2013 model. Photos: CarPix
