Spied: Ford Fiesta-Based Kuga at Pikes Peak

Hill Climb

Our spy shooters have climbed all the way up Pikes Peak in order catch some glimpses of the elusive Ford Kuga.

Spotted at the top of Pikes Peak, Ford test drivers were running around in the baby Ford Fiesta known only as the Kuga. We don't know what the eventual name will be once this little guy hits production, although along with last week's shots of the B-Max, we can definitely tell that Ford is preparing several different models based on the popular Fiesta (including an SUV). The Kuga was extremely camouflaged and we expect it to carry a heavier weight.

To cope with the added weight, the optional all-wheel-drive variant could feature a more powerful engine. Ford will use motors and transmissions from the current Fiesta line-up. Photo Credit: Sarah Cowden for CarPix
