The time has come for Ford to replace the six-year old Galaxy minivan.
Given the third-gen Galaxy minivan has been with us since 2006, getting a mid-cycle makeover in 2009 that saw the introduction of a new snout and turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, it could well be time for Ford to bring out a successor. This isn't the first time we've seen test mules of the upcoming Ford Galaxy, but this is the first time the seven-seater prototype's completely redesigned front end has been spied, albeit under plastic wraps.
A modified fuel cap alludes to Ford perhaps testing out a new driveline, while Ford has confirmed all its upcoming models, which include the 2013 Ford Galaxy, will use last year's Evos study's DNA; so expect it to sport the Aston Martin style grille. Engines and gearboxes will also be shared with the Mondeo (Fusion in N. America) meaning that we might even see a hybrid version of the Galaxy at a later date.
