Although this may look like a normal Shelby GT500, Ford appears to be testing a turbo engine for the next generation model. So why do we think this? The presence of what appears to be an intercooler suggests that the rumors of an increased power output for the next generation are true. Cooling lines can clearly be seen through the front grille, hinting at the presence of an intercooler.

At this point, Ford has not confirmed anything, so we'll have to wait this one out for now. There's an all-new Mustang expected in 2014, so these improvements could be a part of last hurrah celebration for the current generation. Or, it could even be a test mule for the new powerplant.
