The MINI Countryman JCW Edition was recently spotted testing at the infamous Nurburgring. The crossover will now feature the JCW trim and a nice power increase.
Spy shots of a sporty edition of the MINI Countryman were seen testing at, where else, the Nurburgring of course. The latest Countryman will feature all the usual styling and performance modifications that we are used to seeing in other John Cooper Works models. The newest edition to the Countryman lineup will receive an upgraded suspension and a heavier brake package. In addition, the new aero kit is made up of new front and rear bumpers, a slightly different front grille, side skirts with vents and alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the Countryman JCW will get a revved up version of the Cooper S's 1.6-liter four-cylinder twin scroll turbo engine that will produce an output so ewhere in the neighborhood of 207hp and 207 lb-ft of torque. The crossover will be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission that helps it accelerate from 0-62 mph in 7.6 seconds. We're expecting the MINI Countryman JCW to have its official public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Photos courtesy of spyshots.nl
