Spied: Opel’s New Baby - The Allegra aka ‘Junior’

Industry News

We have just recieved some spy photos of Opel's concept car, the Allegra.

We have just received some photos from our spy photographers of the new Opel that will slot below the Corsa. Affectionately known around the CarBuzz office as the Opel 'Junior,' the tentatively titled Allegra was spotted testing on the open road. The Allegra is about 3.70m long and will arrive as a 3-door model. The compact car should rival the VW Up, however it could still go premium and compete against the Mini and Fiat 500 when it arrives in 2013.

Opel is currently developing a new family of engines for the novel car, engines that we could also see on the next generation Opel Corsa. We will bring you all the news on the Opel Allegra as it trickles out from GM's subsidiary German automaker.
