Spied: Peugeot 5008 MPV Test Mule Cold-Weather Testing

Spy Shots

The Peugeot 5008 MPV test mule was recently spotted testing in the snow.

Peugeot is already hard at work developing the next generation model of their successful 5008 MPV. The French company recently took their test mule out of the barn for some cold weather road testing. Due to the wider fenders spotted here on the test mule, the new 5008 will run on a slightly wider platform than the current one. The MPV should feature a new layout on the interior, with space for comfortable seating for up to seven people.

The fuel cap has been changed from the current one and there are now five wheel bolts instead of the incumbent's four. Under the hood, the Peugeot 5008 MPV should run on the same engines as the forthcoming 301 (the successor to the 308). That means the new generation will be available with a fleet of diesel and gasoline engines along with a diesel-hybrid option. Photos: CarPix
