The Volvo V30 Crossover was captured for the first time by our spy photogs… at McDonlads.
Spy photographers have caught the new Volvo V30 compact crossover for the first time testing in Holland recently. The V30 was heavily camouflaged, however we were able to make out its general shape as it will sit above the Swedish automaker's C30 hatchback in their lineup. The V30 compact crossover should run on the C30's powertrain, as it is basically the four-door variant of the smaller hatch. The heavy cladding seen here on the test mule looks like a mockup of a wagon.
Though this may just be a test mule, we can still tell the front-end is styled aggressively with a large mesh grille and a lower air inlet. The Volvo V30 seen here was caught parked at a McDonalds restaurant, although no word has reached us yet as to whether the testers ate their McNuggets in the car or not. The crossover should debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March of next year. In other 30 series news, a new C30 is also in the works, along with another variant, the XC30.
