It's old school up against the latest in high performance technologies.
Some will rightly argue that the Porsche 911 Turbo S is too perfect. It just does everything extremely well. Performance, handling, and overall daily usage are all top notch. On the other hand, do those attributes make it less of a sports car? Is the Turbo S more of an ultimate GT car? When pitted against the SRT Viper, it makes you wonder what the true definition of a sports car is. Should a sports car be too loud, a bit uncomfortable, and too difficult to see out of?
What about having a manual gearbox? RWD? Aren’t those requirements? The 911 Turbo S has none of these, coming standard with AWD and a dual-clutch. The Smoking Tire’s Matt Farah and Zack Klapman ponder this very issue. Of course a proper comparison test is in order.
