Standard Bearers: BMW M4 Vs. Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Comparison

Time to settle things on the track.

These two cars were never really competitors. One was the high-performance coupe version of a premium German sedan. The other was America’s sports car, sometimes referred to as the “Plastic Fantastic.” The BMW M3 coupe (now rechristened the M4) and the Chevrolet Corvette used to appeal to very different buyers. But today, that’s no longer the case. The new M4 and Corvette Stingray can now go head-to-head on the track without anyone laughing.

Sure, the Corvette lacks the refinement of a Bimmer, but it’s still world’s better than its predecessors. For its part, the M4 is a precise tool that does everything well on both road and track. But which one is more fun? Which will make you beg for more time behind the wheel?
