A few months ago, images were posted online of Tony Stark's (aka Ironman) latest ride: a convertible version of the 2012 Acura NSX concept. The coupe was revealed for the first time earlier this month at the Detroit Auto Show, but now Mr. Stark's car has just been put on display at the Sundance Film Festival. While the upcoming NSX coupe will be powered by a mid-mounted next-generation VTEC V6 with direct-injection, Stark Industries has opted for a few (slight) changes.

For starters, they've opted for a palladium-powered 80,000 TOHC 32-valve engine with titanium-forged block and a nitrous fuel injection system that's mated to a 9-speed HYPER-Shift transmission. They've also added other things, you know, for defensive purposes. These include an emergency homing beacon, invisa-shield exo-system wave modifier, info-net sensory tracker system, thermal imaging software, and a self-detonating recon drone. Along with various exterior bits like an advanced radar-deflecting capabilities, bullet-and foreign element-proof clear coat and metal skin, and bulletproof tires, you'd think that Stark would be all set.

Then again, he has enemies. Therefore, the tactical package contains necessities such as anti-ballistic shielding body panels, incoming scan scrambler, and even an encrypted computer with backup-powered interface and satellite link. MSRP: $9,198,000 + tax, license and registration, and destination fee. Total cost: $9,229,000.
