Incorporating yachting themes into a car is something that can go very wrong very quickly, and this is probably why we see so little of it. One very welcome exception would be the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead, which pulls off the theme quite well. Startech, a Brabus affiliated firm, has given this treatment to their Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition, and while it might not be a Phantom Drophead, it is still quite nice.

There aren't many exterior indications that this is an aftermarket edition, but the body-colored grill and headlight covers are good touches. On the interior, the Defender has a wooden "deck" and navy-blue leather with white stitching. Our one criticism would have to be the Recaro sport seats, which Startech has tried hard to make fit in with the nautical theme, but they just don't quite work. The Yachting Edition otherwise hits the mark all around, so look for it in marina parking lots in the near future.
