Startech Range Rover Sport Bound for Geneva

Brabus’ non-Mercedes arm will showcases its latest creation at the Swiss expo.

We all know Brabus tunes Mercedes, but that’s not all it does. When it takes on other brands the German tuner uses the pseudonym Startech. Both names will be represented in Geneva with Brabus set to showcase its awesome Mercedes G63 AMG 700 6x6, while Startech will unveil its widebody kit for the new Range Rover Sport. Introduced at the Essen Motor Show at the end of last year, the aftermarket kit adds two inches of width to the luxury British SUV.

Wider fender flares make room for massive 23-inch alloys fitted to a lower suspension, while other styling mods include restyled bumpers and a three-piece roof spoiler. The Startech SD30 S tuning kit boosts output of the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 diesel from 292 to 323 hp and from 442 to 501 lb-ft of torque. The result is a 0-62 mph time of 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 138 mph. The tuner also offers a custom interior trimmed in leather, Alcantara, carbon fiber and precious woods.
