North American-based aftermarket specialist STaSIS Engineering has just debuted what they call the Challenge Extreme Edition package for the Audi R8 V10 for the U.K. market. Available since 2010 in the U.S, the performance package includes upgrades such as powertrain enhancements and suspension and brake adjustments. With these modifications, the car can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.1 seconds, which is 0.6 seconds faster than the stock model.
They have also fitted the engine with an Eaton/Magnusson TVS 2300 supercharger that increases power to 710 hp and 523 lb-ft of torque. STaSIS claims they've increased power by some 35 percent. Additionally, they've modified the intercooler, intake system, and have done an ECU remap. The exhaust system has been upgraded to welded stainless steel, and the brakes have also been adjusted. For the suspension goes, STaSIS added lowering springs to improve handling and to give it a more aggressive stance. 20-inch ultra-lightweight alloy wheels are the only other styling modification.
