Steven Tyler Officially Reveals His Hennessey Venom GT Spyder

The coolest 64-year-old on the planet has just gotten cooler.

So just a day after seeing the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer out and about in his brand-new Venom GT Spyder with the cute Lana Del Rey, Steven Tyler decided to post some official pictures of him receiving the car from John Hennessey. The Spyder project started last year after the Aerosmith front man requested Hennessey to turn his Venom GT into a Spyder. "Steven came to us and asked if we could build his Venom GT as a roadster.

"We had to make a few structural changes to our integrated rollcage in order to be able to fit the removable top. This increased the weight of our vehicle by about 30lbs to a curb weight of 2,743lbs - 1,244kgs. So we decided to increase the Venom GT's power to 1,244bhp to maintain our one horsepower-per-one-kilogram power to weight," said John. Hennessey plan to build just five Venom GT models for the 2013MY. Tyler got the first Spyder, and only two others remain available for purchase: $950,000 will get you the fixed-roof hardtop, while a cool $1.1 million is being asked for the GT Spyder.
