It’s being called a world record.
With the first Stingrays rolling off the delivery truck, tuners are relishing the chance to modify the C7. Hennessey has already tested a stock Vette with a view to bringing out a 1,000-hp model, but according to Road Test TV the world’s first 2014 Corvette to run a quarter-mile in the tens is by Redline Motorsports. The Vette in the video doesn’t appear to be the tuner’s upcoming Adrenaline Rush package. It’s simply been fitted with Kooks headers and a 125 shot of nitrous.
The result is a quarter-mile in 10.50 seconds at 132 mph.
