Huracan

Even without tuning or drag radials a Dodge Challenger Hellcat racing a Lamborghini Huracan in the quarter mile is something we want to see. Actually, we have seen something like that before, albeit on a much lower level in terms of quality and organization. But this video comes from DragTimes, the home of legit drag strip racing and crispy GoPro shots. It, shockingly, pits an 800-hp Challenger Hellcat with drag radials against a stock Lamborghini Huracan. The race is one of the closest DragTimes contests we've ever seen.

There is a huge temptation to ruin the outcome. We won't do that, though. You'll just have to watch this video for yourself to see which car comes out victorious.

The Hellcat driver gets off to a good start and keeps things close throughout. The total time is a lot closer than the .03 second margin of victory the Huracan eventually ends up with, as reaction times are factored in. The Lamborghini posted a reaction time of .258 seconds whereas the slow-as-molasses Dodge took a full .395 seconds to jump off the start line. (Just kidding, that's a great time.) Those in the know knew the Challenger Hellcat couldn't beat the lighter Huracan and its all-wheel drive. But even those in the know, you know who you are, have to be surprised at how tight this quarter mile was. That driver deserves a hand. As Lucas Black from "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" would say: "It's not the ride, it's the rider."
