We'll admit that we spent more time than we should have playing around with the configurator for the Ferrari 488 GTB Spider. But really, can you blame us? The drop-top version of the 488 GTB was revealed last year but the configurator just went live a few days ago. It's typical Ferrari in that there are a ton of options to choose from. There are 28 paint colors (and nine brake caliper colors), a plethora of both exterior and interior carbon fiber options and some optional and awesome extras.

N/A

Two of those awesome extras we chose to option were the suit carrier and the luggage set. As you can see we went a bit atypical with our 488 GTB Spider's look. The exterior is Verde British and the interior is Rosso Ferrari and Nero. There's also Filo Special Verde stitching and a Rosso Ferrari-colored steering wheel because why the hell not. While some may cringe at our paint choice the reality is that you have so many options to choose from and none of them are awful. As for performance pieces, well there's the aforementioned carbon fiber bits as well as an optional sport exhaust and titanium sport pipes. The 488 GTB Spider makes 661 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque courtesy of a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 so it's plenty quick.

Its 0-124 mph run is just 0.3 seconds slower than its hard-top sibling. So, yeah, it's plenty car. Check out the configurator here and let us know how you'd spec your 488 Spider. Make sure you carve out a good chunk of time as there are some tough decisions you'll have to make. Are you really the type of person who needs carbon fiber hubcaps or a fire extinguisher?
