It could have been so much worse.
He may be the reigning "King of the Streets" but Daddy Dave from Discovery's "Street Outlaws" is now also a drag race crash survivor. Last Saturday night at the Amarillo Dragway in Texas, Dave was behind the wheel of a nitrous-fed (of course) Chevy II. Only seconds after the race started he lost control and struck the wall. The car immediately did multiple flips. Dave was rushed to the hospital in stable condition. Miraculously, his injuries are minor.
According to an update made by his wife on his Facebook page, they include a serious concussion, bruised lung and plenty of bumps and bruises. He's now resting in his own room and is expected to make a full recovery. The horrific crash and its immediate aftermath was caught entirely on video, and his friends are truly stand up guys.
