Looks like someone has been playing too much Need for Speed.
This video of a street race in London between a Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce Roadster and Bentley Continental GT shows exactly why they should be restricted to movies and video games and not real life. Filmed from the perspective of the Bentley, it's a rather stereotypical scene: the race occurs at night, there's music blaring and the drivers taunt each other. Racing each other between traffic lights, the Lamborghini driver seems to miss a gear, which explains how the Bentley managed to roar ahead.
The 750-hp, matte black Lamborghini soon gains the advantage, but the driver seems to have forgotten he's on the public road and appears oblivious to the traffic ahead. He failed to stop in time, slamming into the back of a Vauxhall Astra and Mercedes-Benz S-Class that were waiting at the traffic lights. Definitely not how you should treat this sacred supercar.
While there were luckily no serious injuries or arrests according to The Sun, all vehicles involved were heavily damaged. The Astra was written-off, and as you can see from photos posted on Instagram, the Lamborghini didn't fare well either. Its front took the brunt of the impact which activated the built-in roll-over bars, completely dismembering both sides of the car. The Asian driver was "obviously wealthy because he didn't even seem that bothered about the damage to his car," an eyewitness said. The Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster features a 6.5-liter, naturally-aspirated V12 engine that produces 740 hp, a top speed of 217 mph and a 0-62mph time of 2.9 seconds.
