Just 50 examples will be built.
Few automakers are as well-known for limited special editions of its various model lines as Rolls-Royce. Now, to coincide with the start of the new decade, the luxury manufacturer has announced the Dawn Silver Bullet Collection. Based on the already opulent Rolls-Royce Dawn convertible, the Silver Bullet Collection is said to have been inspired by the roaring 1920s, described as "an ode to decadence, to frivolity, to heady heydays, and irreverent pastimes."
A mere 50 examples of the Dawn Silver Bullet Collection will be produced and, as its name dictates, the model will be painted in a bespoke Brewster Silver. The Aero Cowling is one of the drop-top's most distinctive styling features - the regular Dawn can be fitted with the Aero Cowling optionally - complete with a center spine finished in Brewster Silver that affords the car an intimate appeal and the "connected feel of a true two-seater."
Other exterior adornments on this unique model include darkened headlights and a dark finisher for the front bumper, coloring that contrasts well with the silver paintwork. There are also part-polished wheels complete with a translucent shadow finish and a single pinstripe in silver. No official pictures have been released beyond the design sketches an illustrations seen here, though.
The gorgeous cabin blends together nostalgic cues with modern touches; the quilted transmission tunnel is said to have been inspired by the "rebellious fashion accessory" that is the leather jacket, while the dashboard gets open-pore carbon fiber trim. Of course, the craftsmanship will be second to none.
The Dawn Silver Bullet Collection follows on from special Rolls-Royce silver editions such as the magnificent Silver Ghost Collection, of which just 35 were built. To complement the release of this bespoke Dawn, Rolls-Royce will also be putting together a collection of Silver Bullet Drives, specially selected road trips that the manufacturer believes will prove a fine match for the convertible. These road trips can be accessed via Whispers, an exclusive online portal for Rolls-Royce customers.
As is often the case, Rolls-Royce hasn't been so undignified as to release a price for the Dawn Silver Bullet Collection, but with the 'regular' model going for around $350,000, expect this limited variant to approach $400,000.
