In all fairness Subaru is upping the power of the new BRZ, with the 2017 model dropping 208 horsepower, up from the current generation's 200. That being said it seems like the company has been good at giving BRZ fans everything they don't want for quite a while. No STI model, but you can have limited edition paint! 2016 BRZs and WRX STIs get a striking set of paint dubbed HyperBlue. Only 500 BRZs will wear it compared to the 700 STIs that will sport the shade.

Subaru is no stranger to limited-run paint, but HyperBlue is so much more than that. The color scheme extends to the interior where both cars receive blue stitching and accents, with the BRZ getting blue leather seat bolsters and head restraints. The WRX STI gets 18-inch Black Alloy wheels along with black badging. Pricing will be revealed in the fall.
