Subaru Reveals Sleek 2015 Legacy Concept

Is there a chance the next Legacy will look like this? We hope so.

Subaru may have a sense for sexy styling after all. Just ahead of next week’s LA Auto Show, the Japanese automaker has revealed official photos of the Legacy Concept, which previews the upcoming redesigned 2015 model. Compared to the current Legacy, this concept is clearly a huge step in the right direction. We’d even describe it as sexy. You’ll notice almost immediately its coupe-like and more aggressive styling, which Subaru claims will make its way to future models.

The front end is a more distinguished design than in the past thanks to its new hexagonal grille and a sharper hawk-eye headlamp design. Painted in Ocean Silver Metallic and further enhanced by a set of big 21" wheels, it’s doubtful the latter, along with those pronounced wheel arches, will make production based on Subaru’s history of significantly watering down its concepts as they head to the final drawing board. Subaru’s signature all-wheel drive system is obviously present but no word on what’s under the hood. We’ll get more details next week once the doors open to this year’s LA event.
