The Subaru Impreza is a globally loved vehicle that is now in its fifth season and shows no sign of slowing down. Subaru recently announced its pricing for the 2021 Impreza in the US which brought with it a healthy number of standard safety features for a minimal increase in asking price, and now Subaru Japan has revealed a "partially improved" range of cars including the new e-Boxer equipped "Advanced" and "2.0eL EyeSight.

The Japanese auto manufacturer has also announced the existence of the ultimate WRX STI simply named the "STI Sport" which has received some special attention for an even more performance-orientated driving experience.

The new Advanced and 2.0eL Eyesight trims are equipped with a hybrid version of Subaru's 2.0-liter boxer motor with a small electric motor assisting in acceleration, and also includes e-Active Shift Control that works with the current SI-Drive system to offer a sportier drive. The exterior of Advanced models feature a gray metallic front grille, 17-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 215 / 50R17 tires, LED headlights with adaptive high beam control, and a more prominent rear spoiler.

The interior is covered in navy blue and light gray synthetic leather material and features an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat and sports aluminum pedals.

The legendary STI nameplate also receives some attention with the new "STI Sport" which has seen some serious work done to the suspension setup. This STI now makes use of special SHOWA variable dampers in the front with which Subaru says has "achieved a high level of both comfortable cruising and agile and sporty driving dynamics."

The STI Sport also features a special exterior design that includes black highlights on the side mirrors and front splitter. The only two colors on offer are Ceramic White and WR Blue, and on the inside the seats are stitched in red. Subaru has not confirmed these models for the US, but don't hold your breath.
