Subaru WRX and Ford Focus ST Come Head to Head

Comparison / Comments

It's almost a battle of the hot hatches. But not quite.

Both the Ford Focus ST and Subaru WRX are motivated by 2.0-liter turbo-fours mated to six speed manuals. They have identical wheelbase lengths, similar power outputs, curb weights, and are priced at around $30,000. That makes this edition of Motor Trend's Head to Head one of the fairest match-ups to date. The only thing that's wrong with this battle of the hot-hatches is that Subaru no longer makes the WRX as a wagon.

Host Jonny Lieberman starts off playing the usual numbers game, before heading to an awesome canyon road to showcase the real-world capabilities of these awesome driver's cars.
