Super Rare Ford Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6 Up For Sale

For Sale / 15 Comments

And it costs how much??

You don't see something like this come up for sale very often, and there's a very good reason why. Just 50 examples of the absolutely bonkers Ford Raptor-based Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6 are planned. So in case you were once in the market for one and missed out or suddenly have the urge to purchase this faster than a Mercedes-AMG 6x6 G-Wagon rig, here's your chance. Up for sale right this very moment on eBay is this 2018 Velociraptor 6x6 and the seller is none other than Hennessey Performance. The price? Well, we'll get to that shortly. But first, let us remind everyone why this thing is worth every penny.

For starters, it's bonafide. Based on the current generation Ford Raptor Super Crew hardcore off-road fun machine, it's already equipped with a proven engine, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, which has been upgraded for a new total output of 600 hp thanks to new turbos, front-mounted intercooler and the familiar ECU tune. Additional upgrades include the obvious 6x6 wheel conversion, custom exhaust, Hennessey 20-inch wheels with 37-inch off-road tires, a 7-inch lift kit, unique VelociRaptor bumpers, and LED lights. The ad claims there's only 200 miles on its clock, and delivery is expected for January 2019. The buyer also has the option to tack on additional upgrades, such as Brembo brakes, custom exterior color paint or wrap, and a custom interior. Customization, of course, will surely add to the final price tag.

Speaking of which, how much does this beast cost? Starting bid is $349,000 or, alternatively, you can buy it right now for $375,000. Considering a non-Hennessey modified stock 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor starts off at around $54,350, you'd be paying an awful lot more for something with a couple of additional wheels (totally badass, by the way) and another 150 ponies (up from the stock model's 450 hp). But it's not every day you get to own a 600-hp 6x6 truck. Sometimes seemingly irrational purchases can be totally justified.
