The Ford Mustang is currently dominating sales, and not only in the US. In Germany, for example, the Mustang recently outsold both the Audi TT and Porsche 911. That's quite an accomplishment on Ford's part and the Mustang has also been in high demand in the UK, where there's currently a wait list. So it should come as no surprise that a popular UK supercar dealer is now offering a tuning kit for that slice of American muscle.
Clive Sutton's bespoke tuning program for the right-hand drive Mustang can be had in several packages, all including upgrades in handling and style. Instead of focusing on American-style straight-line performance and quarter-mile times, Clive Sutton has catered its upgrades towards UK and Euro buyers by offering an upgraded suspension that'll deliver sharper handling. As for power, both the 2.3-liter EcoBoost and 5.0-liter V8 now deliver more power. The latter, thanks to the addition of a Whipple supercharger, upgraded intercooler and a new quad-tailpipe active exhaust system, now delivers 645 hp.
If that's not enough, a larger throttle body, uprated injectors and a different pulley will take the Mustang V8 to over 700 hp, a 68 percent increase over the stock V8. For its part, the turbocharged-four now produces 440 hp, up from 330 hp. All packages include Active Exhaust control and customers can also add on appearance bits like a carbon fiber decklid panel, chin spoiler, rear wing, side skirts, and unique paint. A brake package adds uprated discs, and 20-inch wheels are also available.
