Supercars are expensive vehicles reserved for a select and priviliged few (the rich). However, there's a little thing called depreciation that helps regular Joes get into high-performance cars that were once off limits. The average salary in the US is $51,759, which means these cars with supercar performance at $50,000 are a great deal. (If you're willing to drop a year's worth of pay.) The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is an animal in its base form, but this American sports car has been given even more performance thanks to Lingenfelter.

The Corvette has always been referred to as America's sports car and the C6 Z06 might be the best representation of that. With its hideous and down right embarrassing interior, the Z6 Z06 wasn't engineered to provide a comfortable ride but blistering performance. GM shoved a 7.0-liter V8 under the massive hood and tuned it to produce 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The stock Z06 could sprint to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, which was quick. But Lingenfelter worked its magic on this example and performance is up. The tuning company turned the Z06 into a supercar-killing monster.

Thanks to American Racing long tube headers, CNC ported and polished cylinder heads, a GT21 camshaft by Competition Caps, a high-flow C6 Z06 air induction, an LS7 intake manifold, multi-angle valve job and surfacing for compression, and more, the Z06 makes supercar power. Performance has been increased to 660 hp and 585 lb-ft of torque. The world has always compared Corvettes to Porsches, but this tuned Z06 has more power than anything Porsche has to offer right now. Okay, the 918 Spyder doesn't count. At $12,945 on top of the Z06's price tag, the performance package wasn't cheap. But Vegas Classic Muscle Cars is selling this gorgeous example with only 25,794 miles on the clock for under $50k.

Forget messing around with a modern sports car or even a new supercar, because this Lingenfelter tuned Z06 has 100 more hp than a Porsche 911 Turbo S. This is one heck of a performance bargain for $50,000 and will scare the crap out of any enthusiast. Buy it and take it straight to the drag strip.
