Even for a Mustang Vs. Mustang race, this one is a bit weird. You have the new car vs. the old, the supercharging vs. the turbocharging, and one last unexpected rivalry. The turbocharged engine under the hood of the LX is a Chevy LS V8. The newer car has a somewhat more conventional setup, although one which is still very potent. Namely, there is a Whipple supercharger strapped to the engine for a whole load of extra power.

This supercharged Mustang nearly loses it during the race, and looks to be about to take the other car out too. Thankfully it does not.
