Superchips is now offering an inexpensive way to get some extra power out of Citroen's hot hatch.
For some, this isn't quite enough though, and for them, the British tuning firm Superchips has developed an ECU software upgrade to squeeze a bit more power out of the engine. The result is what Superchips calls "livelier" performance.
Horsepower is now up to 230 and torque is up to 234ld-ft. A gain of 26hp might not be something you'd even notice on a Porsche 911 Turbo, but it's on the DS3 Racing, that's a difference you'll definitely feel. The price for the reprogramming is set at £455 (including VAT), which is a pretty decent price for a 12 percent power gain. Test numbers haven't been released yet, but Superchips expects a noticeable difference between this tuned version and the DS3 Racing's stock 6.5 second 0-60 time.
